Director of Strategic Communications
As a contributor to the Client Development Team and collaborator across the company, Dana leads the advancing of TRG Arts’ brand awareness and positioning as a thought leader in the arts and cultural industry. Dana's work as Director of Strategic Communications focuses on initiatives that inspire prospects and potential partners to contact TRG Arts and serves as the company's “eyes and ears” in the field by helping TRG Arts stay abreast of activity in the arts and cultural sector.
Prior to joining TRG Arts, Dana spent the last 17 years contributing his expertise to organizations that improve the lives of others across the arts, non-profit, and higher education sectors. From designing and executing comprehensive, brand-focused, marketing plans at Carnegie Mellon University School of Music as the Director of Marketing and Communications to researching and advocating for putting the arts at the epicenter of learning at the Arts Education Collaborative. Dana has also served as a mentor, advisor, and manager on several community-focused projects and initiatives with the Greater Pittsburgh Arts Council, Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh Emerging Arts Leaders Network, Indianapolis Opera, and Indiana University Purdue University of Indianapolis.
Dana completed a graduate degree in arts management at Carnegie Mellon University and holds a bachelor’s degree in music performance from Capital University. When Dana isn’t chasing after his crazy-haired little girl, he can be found snapping photos and aspiring to be a bluegrass banjo player.
