How do I create a custom segment?
If you're an organization who uses or has the ability to use transactional data for file import, then you have this as an option.
The Custom Segment option is available to users with the segment-builder permission (if you can't see it, ask your Account Admin). Custom segments are built from the data you import: Ticket / Subscription, Donation or Membership. A custom segment needs a description (up to 100 characters) and at least one condition
You can create a custom segment in two places:
• From Segments: Go to Segments, click Create Segment, and select Custom segment. Segments created here can use only your own data.
• Within a campaign: You can create and add a custom segment just as you would any other segment, either to include it in the list or to use it as a suppression.
