How do I set up the Subscription Tracker?

A guide to getting started.

The Subscription Tracker is a powerful tool that will enable you to monitor your Subscription sales performance, understand your renewal rates and identify opportunities for improvement.

To get yourself set up with the tool, several crucial Data Coding steps are required first.

Data Coding Steps

When you first access the Subscription page, you should see a check list detailing the steps required to enable access to the tool

The two sections of coding that need to be completed are

  • Ticket Coding - ensuring that all subscription tickets have been identified and packages have been correctly assigned.
  • Package Coding - ensuring that all packages are connected with a series and that package names have been condensed and standardized as much as possible.

To mark this check list as complete, 80% of the following fields must be coded for each the most recent three season years:

Package Coding

  • Package Series
  • Package Name

Tickets

  • Transaction Type
  • Package Name

Once enough of the data has been coded, the check list will no longer appear, or if you wish to move forward without completing coding, press 'Skip this for now'.

Setting Up A Project

Once the Data Coding is complete, the first page you visit will invite you to 'Add new Draft Projects'.

Follow this link and begin creating your first Project.

Start by adding a name and entering the Season Year you wish to study.

Tip: try making your project title clear and distinct - you may want to create a new one in a year's time, so simply calling it 'Pops and Classics' might make things confusing. Try including the season year to help separate Projects out.

After you've entered the Season Year, the available Series from that season will populate below.

Tick the 'Include' box, to select a Series for analysis.

You will then need to enter the On Sale Date and the Revenue and Package goals for your Acquisition and Renewal segments.

Once you are happy with your set up, press save and your project will load.

You can come back and change these settings at any time, so don't worry if you get things wrong and want to come back.
